Dr. Naoko Ishii is Special Presidential Envoy for Global Commons and Professor and Director of the Center for Global Commons at the University of Tokyo. The Center for Global Commons aims to build a multi-stakeholder coalition in Japan and forge partnerships with international allies for systemic change. Before joining the University, Dr. Ishii was CEO of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) from 2012 to 2020.
