Youth Solutions Summit, LA

In collaboration with the United Nations Human Rights Office and the Office of Los Angeles Mayor, Eric Garcetti, the United Nations Association of the United States of America celebrated the historic 70^th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by launching its first ever “Youth Solutions Summit”. Through student-led conversations and collaboration with local community leaders, the Youth Solutions Summit provided a platform for students to present actionable items to address human rights issues affecting the Los Angeles area.

Topics that were addressed during the event included:

• Gender equality
• LGBTI equality
• Homelessness
• Immigration
• Technology for social good
