United Nations Foundation’s We the Peoples Dinner

New York, NY

The United Nations Foundation Global Leadership Dinner has for more than 20 years been a unique occasion recognizing extraordinary individuals and organizations who work to further the purposes of the United Nations, and to advance causes of impact and value to the global community to help build a better world. This year, on the eve of the UN’s 75th Anniversary, we are branding the annual Global Leadership Dinner We the Peoples, to recall and honor the profound vision of the founders of the UN: to save future generations from the scourge of war, reaffirm faith in human rights and equal rights, ensure justice and international law, and promote social progress and freedom.

In year’s past, our honorees have included Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, His Highness the Aga Khan, US Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, UN Secretaries-General Kofi Annan and Ban Ki-moon, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie, Malala Yousafzai and many other global luminaries from activists and journalists to private and civil society leaders.
