The United Nations Foundation, in partnership with Seascape Consultants Ltd, hosted a virtual gathering on May 29, 2025, to discuss how the International Maritime Organization (IMO) can leverage existing tools and measures to support the effective implementation of the BBNJ Agreement (Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction), officially titled the “Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction.”
