Women and girls, particularly in the Global South, face disproportionate impacts from the climate crisis due to gender inequality and other structural and systemic factors. At the same time, women remain underrepresented in decision-making processes related to climate change adaptation, mitigation, and finance, especially at higher levels. This panel will gather government officials, experts in climate finance, and gender equality advocates to explore tools to foster climate and environmental justice that support women’s rights.
