High-level plenary meeting to commemorate and promote the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons

The High-level Plenary for the Elimination of Nuclear Weapons will commemorate and promote the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, held annually on September 26. The plenary’s aims include to: advocate for resuming dialogue and negotiations for nuclear arms control and disarmament; consider how states can return to a common path to nuclear disarmament; and highlight the need for renewed engagement for building sustainable peace and security for all.
