This High-level Conference will examine the urgent need for UN reform, with a focus on Article 109 of the Charter, which enables a General Conference to consider amendments. Building on the 2024 Summit of the Future and its Pact, this event will address how rivalries, funding gaps, veto use, and weak law enforcement undermine the UN. With the Charter last amended in 1973, participants will explore bold steps to modernize the UN for today’s global challenges.
