Crisis in Preparedness: Laboratories and Frontline Readiness in the Time of Ebola

The Mérieux Foundation USA, Weill Cornell Medical College, and the GHESKIO Centers, in partnership with the Pan American Health Organization, Pandemic Fund, Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, and Association of Public Health Laboratories will kick off High-level Week with a special session to advance discussions on key challenges, priorities, and strategies to strengthen laboratory systems for emergency preparedness in a One Health approach. This session will convene regional health entities from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas with funders and organizations working in the field to identify actionable solutions for sustained investment in clinical laboratory capacity as a cornerstone of global health security.
