Every 60 seconds, a child dies from malaria – a preventable and treatable disease. The good news is that nets save lives, and last year, the United Nations and other partners distributed a record number of bednets. Thanks to nets and other solutions, malaria deaths were nearly cut in half between 2000 and 2013.
