Katie Blanton is the Communications Associate for the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life campaign. Prior to joining the UN Foundation, Katie worked as a field organizer on Beto O’Rourke’s Senate campaign in Houston, Texas. Katie has a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Science with a focus on Global Health and Health Policy from Harvard University. While in college, she organized with the Student Global AIDS Campaign, volunteered at the birth center of a public hospital, and conducted research on the role of physicians in international social movements. Passionate about health equity and political advocacy, Katie is thrilled to support Shot@Life and learn more about how to communicate science to the public and build grassroots communities around major public health issues.
