Clarke Sumbule Wafula is a Consultant with the Sustainable Development Initiatives team at the United Nations Foundation in New York, where he supports policy and diplomatic engagement on financing for development. His work focuses on financing the SDGs, including engagement with member states, think tanks, civil society, and the private sector during the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development negotiations, and now on supporting the implementation of its outcomes across the multilateral system. Prior to this, he worked at the Permanent Mission of Kenya to the United Nations in New York on economic and technology policy issues, and at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels on trade and technology policy under the EU–US Trade and Technology Council. He holds a Master’s degree in Transnational Governance from the European University Institute in Italy and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Nairobi.
