Christina Butler is a communications manager for media and content at the United Nations Foundation. Prior to joining the UN Foundation, Christina led USAID’s outreach and communications efforts for the Philippines, Mongolia, and 12 Pacific Island countries, sharing stories of development and diplomacy and supporting visits from senior U.S. leaders. Christina began her career researching media as a conduit for social change as a Fulbright Scholar and a journalist for the BBC. Her career has since taken her across the globe — from completing a master’s degree at Tel Aviv University and supporting humanitarian relief efforts for Syrian refugees in northern Jordan, to starting journalism and Model UN programs at an international school in Beijing and launching the USAID/Pacific Islands Mission in Fiji.
