Shenae Burgess

Chief Financial Officer

Shenae Burgess is the United Nations Foundation’s Chief Financial Officer. She brings over 20 years of extensive industry experience and proven success in overseeing global financial operations for multi-million-dollar non-profit and for-profit organizations.

Shenae has developed robust financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to support long-term business growth and is adept in administering large-scale operational budgets. Her strong background in auditing translates to a keen ability to strategically re-engineer and streamline organizational infrastructure and operations — in addition to developing and implementing internal controls, processes, systems, and tools to streamline efficiency and performance.

Prior to joining the UN Foundation, Shenae served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Center for International Private Enterprise and the Jane Goodall Institute. Her background includes senior-level financial roles at organizations, including EngenderHealth, Cruise Line International, University Research Co., and Casals & Associates. Also, Shenae has seven years of experience as an auditor.

She is a Certified Public Accountant, holding a BS in Accounting from George Mason University and an MBA in Accounting from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
