Strong U.S. engagement at the UN has been indispensable to solving global problems since the founding of the United Nations and remains true today. With our sister organizations, the Better World Campaign and the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA), the UN Foundation works to build a diverse and enduring base of U.S. support for the UN and its priorities.
We raise awareness among policymakers and elected officials about the benefits the UN provides Americans, which include contributing to our national security, keeping us safe from pandemics, and convening communities to solve global problems. We encourage Congressional support for full U.S. payment of UN and peacekeeping dues. At a grassroots level, we build communities of Americans who support the UN and we mobilize Americans to advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Each year, the Better World Campaign and the United Nations Association of the USA publish a comprehensive guide to America’s leadership on the world’s biggest stage, equipping supporters, policymakers and inquiring minds with insights to understand the value of U.S. engagement in the United Nations.
