In 2016, the UN Foundation hosted an SDG training workshop for journalists at the first-ever World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul. The inaugural conference marked a major shift in how the international community prevents human suffering by preparing for and responding to crises. At the Summit, world leaders committed to the Secretary-General’s Agenda for Humanity, the result of a three-year global consultation process that reached over 23,000 people in 153 countries.
