In response to the Trump Administration’s Global Gag rule, the Universal Access Project (UAP) hosted a group of journalists in Guatemala to report on its far-reaching implications in one of Central America’s poorest countries in 2017. In close coordination with the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), international and local non-government organizations, government ministries and other partners with in-country expertise, the fellowship offered unparalleled opportunities to learn directly from community health workers, reproductive health experts, and officials from the Ministry of Health and the UN.
