For over 25 years, the United Nations Foundation has built novel innovations and partnerships to support the United Nations and help solve global problems at scale. We are therefore deeply honoured to announce that the UN Foundation is a Talking Philanthropy 2024 Partner.
Media entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner founded the UN Foundation in 1998 because he believed the United Nations is indispensable to tackling humanity’s greatest challenges and driving global progress. The same belief guides the Foundation today, which is why we are thrilled to have their support at this significant philanthropic event, with an expert-led assembly focused on shaping the future of global philanthropy.
At Talking Philanthropy 2024, the UN Foundation will put the spotlight on young leaders and building a legacy for future generations. The Foundation’s Our Future Agenda program works with and for young people to lead the changes needed for a better future. The Unlock the Future Coalition — a key component of the program — brings together 25 of the world’s largest youth and child-focused organizations, amplifying the voices of young people in shaping global decisions and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.
The largest wealth transfer in history is underway, with more than $84 trillion is shifting from Baby Boomers to Millennials and Gen Z. Our Future Agenda and the Coalition will help young leaders — especially those from underserved communities — make the most of this opportunity, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, enabling them to direct assets toward causes that make a difference.
Being hosted in Hong Kong on 20th November, Talking Philanthropy 2024 will include the most recent research from some of the world’s leading universities with a particular focus on the Asian perspective. Participants will also hear from an influential audience of family philanthropists and next-generation representatives about their experiences shaping philanthropic direction.
As intergenerational wealth transfer becomes a major factor in the philanthropic world, the forum will explore how families manage this transition to unlock future collaboration and drive new approaches to giving. An essential event for anyone looking to engage with the next generation of donors, Talking Philanthropy 2024 can be virtually attended from anywhere in the world.
