The event aims to build momentum for the upcoming Women Deliver 2023 Conference (WD2023) taking place in Kigali, Rwanda from 17 to 20 July 2023, with the theme of “Spaces, Solidarity, and Solutions”. The event will gather WD2023 partners, sponsors, advisors, including government representatives, the private sector, civil society, WD Young Leaders, and UN agencies participating in UNGA, in which we will share key updates on WD2023 Conference’s program, objectives, and commitments.
As one of the largest multi-sectoral convenings to advance gender equality, gathering 6,000 advocates onsite, and over 200,000 advocates online from diverse fields, the Women Deliver 2023 Conference has been co-created by grassroots advocates, youth, civil society, governments, multilateral organizations, and the private sector, including from and representing communities facing systematic discrimination around the world.
With sexual and reproductive health and rights at its core, WD2023 will center inter-sectional feminist principles, to address compounding issues impacting girls and women – from climate change, to gender-based violence, to unpaid care work – and collectively identify and action evidence-based solutions.
