UHC High-Level Political Meeting 2023: Visioning Strong Health Systems Built on Women’s Rights

This virtual event will bring together governments, academia, UN and NGOs to highlight opportunities to continue momentum and action for gender equality in Universal Health Coverage (UHC), as well as examine the challenges and explore gender-responsive UHC. This year’s UN General Assembly marks one year away from the 2023 High Level Meeting on, where progress toward commitments, including on gender equality and SRHR, in the 2019 Political Declaration of the High-level Meeting on UHC will be considered. Now more than ever, alliances and global advocates need to come together to press decision makers to realize the commitments made in 2019 and prioritize gender in UHC.
