At its upcoming annual forum, the Business Call to Action (BCtA) is partnering with the Global Partnership for a session on the Kampala Principles —a set of five mutually reinforcing principles for making private sector partnerships for development co-operation more effective. For COVID response and recovery, the private sector and diverse stakeholders must work in harmony and synergy to share complementary knowledge and experience, reinforce effectiveness, and develop innovative solutions to leave no one behind. In early 2021, the GPEDC published a set of four case studies (in Bangladesh, Colombia, Uganda and The Philippines) featuring businesses exemplifying the Kampala Principles in practice. This session will reinforce inclusiveness and transparency as central tenets of effective development co-operation by spotlighting testimonials from diverse stakeholders involved in implementation of the Kampala Principles.
