Feminist movements play a key role in advancing gender equality, human rights and the sustainable development goals. However, despite these contributions, their role is chronically under-recognized and underfunded. The Alliance for Feminist Movements will be launched in the context of UNGA 77 to bring together national governments, philanthropic organizations, women’s funds, feminist organizations and international organizations with an aim to address these barriers and advance and coordinate financial and political support for these organizations and the critical role they are playing amidst global uncertainty.
