The Spouses of CARICOM Leaders Action Network (SCLAN), in collaboration with the UN Foundation and UNICEF, is pleased to host a high-level meeting “Investing in a Sustainable Future to Enable Children and Adolescents to Reach Their Full Potential: A Discussion About Physical and Mental Health” on Friday, September 27. This event, held on the margins of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, will bring together First Ladies, Spouses of Heads of Government, multilateral agencies, UN officials, private sector leaders, non-governmental organizations, and young advocates.
The event aims to foster high-level advocacy for the physical and mental health of children and adolescents, both in the Caribbean and globally. It will serve as a platform to re-commit to ensuring the full realization of the rights of every child and adolescent, emphasizing the urgent need for increased international cooperation, partnerships, and financing to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Leave No One Behind, and secure a brighter future for current and future generations.
