Hunger and Climate Change Media Brief Launch

Oxfam

This event will serve as the media launch of a briefing paper to showcase how extreme and slow-onset climate events exacerbate existing vulnerabilities and other hunger drivers for seven regions, resulting in extreme inequality. It shows how inequality, not unavailability, is driving food insecurity and overwhelming countries and humanitarian system’s capacity to respond. Those most impacted by climate change are the poorest communities they are also the least responsible for the climate crisis and the least prepared to take the next climate shock.
