UN Foundation, Spain, Luxembourg, Global Polio Eradication Initiative

Location

Date & Time

March 7, 2023
12:00PM EDT - 1:30PM EDT

As the COVID-19 pandemic lingers and humanitarian crises multiply, it is imperative that children continue to have access to life-saving childhood immunizations and that the health care workforce (staffed largely by women) is shaped with gender in mind. Innovative health partnerships must incorporate a gender lens and deploy all available tools to safeguard the health of children around the world, particularly those living in humanitarian situations.  The luncheon will enable timely discussion of the importance of gender equality and how, together, we can protect progress on shared health, development and security goals. Attendees will be invited to discuss how gender-mainstreaming can be effectively implemented and promoted to help achieve Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and interconnected goals.
