Bridging the Gap: Mapping Gender Data Gaps and Exploring Solutions

Hosted by Data2X and Open Data Watch alongside the 50th UN Statistical Commission, this breakfast event will bring together key agencies working to close gender data gaps at the national, regional and global levels to assess progress to date and signpost upcoming activities and potential areas of collaboration. The session will feature the launch of a new report by Data2X and ODW, “Bridging the Gap: Mapping Gender Data Availability in Africa”, on the trends in gender data availability in 15 sub-Saharan African countries and actionable solutions to fill gender data gaps for both the data and policy communities. Breakfast will be served at 7:30am. The event programming will begin at 8am.
