A new indicator for care needs: Feedback session on the Basic Care Basket on the sidelines of CSW67

Care is essential to society. Families, and in particular, women, contribute most of the work that is allocated to producing this essential service, boosting the capacities of new generations. Yet, the monetary value of the resources that families require to produce enough quality care remains unknown, as well as what they need to avoid to put women’s autonomy at risk. To this end Southern Voice, the United Nations Foundation, the Global Alliance for Care, CIPPEC and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) have the pleasure to invite you to a lunch event to introduce the Basic Care Basket indicator.
