2019 International Womens Day Luncheon: Think Equal, Act Now

On Friday, March 8, 2019, the UN Foundation and the United Nations Association of the USA will host the Think Equal, Act Now Luncheon in Washington, D.C. This event joins forces with women champions, private sector leaders, and other global influencers committed to advancing gender equity at home and abroad. The luncheon includes a riveting line up of speakers and approximately 175 guests represents a cross-section of leaders from the Washington area’s political, business, media, philanthropic and gender equality communities.

This year we will focus on unleashing women’s leadership and amplifying women’s voices to promote a more equitable world for girls and women. This has long been the mission of the UN Foundation in our work supporting the UN, and of UNA-USA which is a grassroots movement of over 20,000 Americans, the majority under the age of 25. Together we work throughout the year to celebrate and inspire local leaders working in their communities to advance global goals from gender equality to climate change.

This event will be hosted at the Eaton Washington DC, a female-visionary hotel brand by Katherine Lo, merging hospitality with social change, to network with other national influencers who care deeply about making the world a more equitable place for girls and women.
