Associate, Climate, Energy & Environment
Fatimah Alyas is the Climate, Energy, and Environment Associate at the United Nations Foundation, where she directly supports the Vice President and members of the team. Previously, she interned with the Communications and Events teams at the Foundation, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations. She has completed a fellowship with the National Rural Support Program, with a focus on increasing business development opportunities for women in rural Pakistan, and has also conducted public health research in India, South Africa, and Brazil. Fatimah completed a MSc from the University of Oxford, where her research focused on political economy and development in South Asia. She received her bachelor’s in Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies from Columbia University.
