Grants Manager
Scarlett Kao is the Grants Manager for Climate & Environment at the United Nations Foundation. Previously, she worked at the intersection of climate and energy as a Strategy and Development Senior Associate at the Foundation’s Clean Cooking Alliance. There, she supported the development of the Clean Cooking Delivery Units Network to accelerate national clean cooking transitions across sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining the Foundation, Scarlett worked in the private sector, where she coordinated marketing operations for global beauty brands at Coty and managed performance marketing campaigns for sustainability-focused clients at New Engen, a digital marketing agency. She has also interned with Sustainable Capital Advisors, the U.S. State Department in Poland, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan. Scarlett holds an M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a B.A. in International Relations – Economics from Wellesley College.
