Katherine Brandon is the Communications Officer for Women Population. Prior to joining the UN Foundation in early 2011, Katherine worked in the press office for the Congressional Oversight Panel, a U.S. Senate committee. Previously, she interned at the White House, where she wrote for the blog. She also interned at GMMB, where she worked on the Gates Foundation account. Katherine graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in journalism and a minor in social and economic justice. Katherine currently lives on Capitol Hill with her beloved dog, Tucker. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, cooking, traveling and exploring with friends. Fun fact: An avid Carolina basketball fan, Katherine was once interviewed on ESPN.
