COVID-19 has plunged the world into global lockdowns and economic crisis, and claimed more than 2 million lives. This unprecedented global challenge can only be defeated through innovative global cooperation.
The ACT Together Fund, hosted by the UN Foundation, provides vital support to the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator (ACT Accelerator). The ACT Accelerator brings together global partners to accelerate the development, production, and equitable access to COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines for people around the world. Your support is needed now more than ever to stop the pandemic.
To end the pandemic and ensure faster economic recovery everywhere, COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines must reach everyone, everywhere fairly. To achieve this mission, the ACT Accelerator urgently needs critical funding from both governments and private donors. Through the ACT Together Fund, private donors can give to support the life-saving work of partners working on the frontlines of this effort. Donations support the ACT Accelerator’s four pillars:
Without support, access gaps and disparities for vulnerable communities around the world will grow and the human and economic devastation caused by this crisis will continue.
The ACT Accelerator is a ground-breaking global collaboration to accelerate the development, production, and equitable access to COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines. Launched in April 2020, it brings together governments, scientists, businesses, civil society, philanthropists and global health organizations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), Gavi, Global Fund, Unitaid, Wellcome Trust, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Bank). The ACT Accelerator partners have asked the United Nations Foundation to host the ACT Together Fund. The UN Foundation is an independent public charity and can receive donations from around the world. Donations from the United States will be fully tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. In addition, via a partnership with the WHO Foundation, individuals and corporations in close to two dozen countries around the world can receive tax-deductibility for their donations. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Resources raised will be granted rapidly to ACT Accelerator partners, according to most urgent and underfunded needs.
